Transitional Care

Transitioning home from the hospital or rehab facility can be scary for both the individual and supporting family. A caregiver can help create a smooth transition back to the home by promoting an environment of healing and reducing the risk of further injury.

Non-Medical Respite Care

Providing care for older or sick loved ones can be emotionally and physically draining at times, especially when juggling work and a family. Our caregivers can provide much needed respite for family caregivers. Unskilled Respite Care is a provision of personal care or homemaking service ordinarily performed by a primary caregiver based on the clients individual needs.

Companionship

Companion Care helps your loved one stay engaged in their lives socially, physically, and mentally in order to stay healthy and independent. Whether its going on walks, engaging in activities or games, accompanying them on outings or even just in having a conversation.

At Beyond Home Care our caregivers are all non-medical with their primarily role being to support and care for your loved one. This could be anything from helping with a bath, doing some light housekeeping, preparing a meal, or even escorting them to an appointment. There may be times when the client’s needs are more for emotional or social support, and the caregiver may engage in conversation, play a game, encourage an activity, or take your loved one for a walk.We work to place clients with caregivers based on their schedule and availability as well as personality. Each client and caregiver relationship is as unique as the care provided which means some personalities types may not work as well as others. It’s important to us that our client’s feel comfortable and confident in their caregivers as well as the care being provided.

Each of our Beyond Home Care Certified Caregivers receive thorough training and onboarding to meet the quality standards of Beyond Home Care. This includes:

  • 45-day onboarding and orientation with our Care Manager and Team Developer

  • One-on-one hands-on training with a Lead Caregiver in a client’s home
  • Continued coaching and mentorship through our Leader Caregiver Program
  • A minimum of 12 hours continuing education courses to encourage continuous learning and growth

We also carefully screen each of our caregivers prior to their employment with Beyond Home Care. Our extensive hiring process includes:

  • A two-part interview series with both our Care Manager and Team Developer
  • Background checks – including Social Security Scan, Criminal, Motor Vehicle Registration, Sexual Offender, Elder Abuse/OIG exclusions, references, and work history checks
  • Drug screening and TB testing
